On Friday, simplehuman partnered with Heal the Bay to pick up trash on Redondo beach. Heal the Bay for years has been devoted to making Southern California coastlines safe, healthy, and clean. For more on the event, check out the video below:

Also big thanks to Kogi BBQ for stopping by and feeding us some much needed scrumptious tacos.

I have never understood the appeal of teabags. I was thinking about this just the other day as I enjoyed a nice cup of loose leaf tea – the apparent convenience just isn't worth the compromise on flavour. Tea bags are filled with the lowest grade “sweepings”. Apparently I'm in a tiny minority (4% of the population!) but if you own a teapot, just try loose leaf for a change – yes, you'll have leaves in your cup, unless you're tidy enough to use a sieve (I can't be bothered) but you'll love the taste – promise!
NB I love punjana loose leaf – not a posh type tea at all (sent by family in care packages from Ireland) So it's really not more expensive. Also I am not an older person, so not all the 4% are aunties… oh, hold on…
