This past week we were in Toronto for the Canadian Gift & Tableware Association’s (CGTA) Spring 2010 show. It’s the premier trade show in Canada for home products and gifts.

We enjoy our bi-annual trips up to Toronto to see our kind Canadian friends, drink up some Tim Horton’s, grub on some veggie fair from Fresh and remember what real weather is like (we’re southern Californians – we don’t encounter 6 degree weather very often!).

We were able to catch up with our media friends (shout-out to Sara Cation of Canada’s Style at Home Magazine!) and our awesome buyers.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that our Northern friends like us too. Our stainless steel step cans, shower caddies, sensor soap pumps and more of our kitchen and bathroom collection are carried by fine retailers such as The Bay, Solutions, Teatro Verde, and NEAT.

We’re now back in the States but we’re not settling in too quickly .In just a few days, we’re off to Frankfurt, Germany for Ambiente – one of the most prestigious international design and home shows in Europe. More to come on our simplehuman travels…

Where did the name "Simplehuman" come from?
  • Great question! We felt the name best represented our vision to create simple products that help people become more efficient at home. In other words, we focus on design not for design's sake, but with the goal of making everyday tasks simpler.
