The rains have finally stopped where I live and the sun is out, gloriously. Which has me dreaming of gardening. If you've thought about gardening yourself but don't have the time or space at home to really dig in, a great place to start is a kitchen garden. In the sunshine of your window you can grow herbs and other plants that look lovely, smell fabulous and can be used daily for cooking. (You'll be amazed at how much better fresh herbs taste, and how much money you can save growing them yourself.)
Apartment Therapy's cooking site The Kitchn walks you through the whole process in their Kitchen Gardening 101 series — here are links to Part I, Part II and Part III.
