A growing number of states are requiring drivers to use a hands-free device when talking on their cell phones. And of course it’s much safer to use one, whether your state law requires it or not.
But have you found many headsets are more trouble than they’re worth? They don’t fit well in your ear, they’re hard to connect, or you find yourself fumbling with buttons on the ear piece while driving.
Now there’s a new product that makes the process much easier: the Contour Surface Sound Compact. It’s a bluetooth speakerphone for autos that clips to your sun visor — the flat panel speaker is super slim so it sits flush with the visor. To turn it on and connect with your phone, you just flip down the handle. (No more fumbling with buttons!) The speaker also has echo cancellation and noise reduction built in, which means the ambient sounds in your car are muted for the person you’re speaking with.
Pretty nifty, and far less expensive than getting a built-in bluetooth device for your car.
