If you’re spending much of your day in front of a computer, it’s super important to have a set-up that works for you to avoid aches, pains and strains.

Some handy tips for being able to whistle while you work:

Well, whistling might actually help. Relaxing as much as possible certainly allows my shoulder and neck muscles to un-tense themselves.

Setting a bell or alarm on your computer every 15 or 30 minutes can be a good reminder to look around, breath and stretch for a few seconds.

Blinking or looking at something in the distance once in a while can help with eyestrain.

As for nuts and bolts of your set up:

Use a headset rather than cradling a phone between your neck and shoulder.

Use a document holder if you’re referring to a hard copy.

Adjust your screen to be about level with or just below eye level.

Make sure your wrists and hands are in line with your forearms rather than being cocked in any funny directions.
