Gas_prices

With crude oil at record highs, it’s essential that to decrease the price of gas we decrease demand (since supply of a nonrenewable resource can’t really be increased significantly). We thought this blog post on EcoTrekker was great: 101 Ways to Use Less Gas. Some of the categories it covers are listed below. It’s akin to our former post here on gas efficiency, but a lot more in-depth. Check it out!

  • alternate transportation (e.g. walk, public transport, etc.)
  • car efficiency (maintenance)
  • at the pump (best methods of purchasing gas)
  • bargain shop (e.g. use a widget like we mentioned here)
  • explore alternative fuels (e.g. biodiesel)
  • drive smart (efficient driving methods)
  • plan wisely (minimize car trips)
  • commute wisely (perhaps pitch a telecommuting or flex schedule to your boss?)
