Summer has arrived and with it comes backyard meals, cookouts, picnics and garden parties. With those come food, and with food should come wine! This season, wine is the premier drink of choice rather than the poolside beer or daquiri. Think crisp, light, fruity, clean and effervescent when selecting the perfect wine to beat the heat! Another idea is to make wine cocktails or add some fresh fruit to make sangria. A few of our favorite bottles are listed below–and all under $17!

whites (pair with salads, fruits, veggies, fish, poultry):
