How to Clean A Copper Pot

Sometimes in the course of doing one job, you end up doing another. We are taking some new product photography tomorrow and Frank suggested we might want to use a copper pot as a prop. Since I own a few copper pots I figured I'd save us some money and just bring in my own. I happen to like the patina copper gets with age, but I knew Frank was referring to a shiny new penny color so I figured I would finally try the old home remedy of scrubbing the pot with half a lemon dipped in salt. Not only did it work beautifully, it was much nicer smelling than Brasso. The instructions are super easy:

1. Before : unpolished copper pot

2. Grab some salt and half a lemon

3. Dip the lemon into the salt

4. Scrub

5. Shiny and new!
