Fast Food Nation: Food Landmarks in the U.S.A.

If you’re planning a cross-country American road trip this summer, you might want to check out some of the nation’s most distinctive landmarks – no, we don’t mean the Empire State Building or the Golden State Bridge.  We’re talking food!

This website lists some of the most interesting food landmarks in the U.S. – from a Pennsylvanian pretzel, to a gigantic slice of pie in Texas, to an oversized ice cream cone in Minnesota, to the famous Randy’s Donuts sign in Los Angeles.  Even if you don’t get to see them in person, it’s fun to peruse the site for photos of these monuments dedicated to what is arguably America’s favorite pasttime: eating!
