Just in time for the holidays, I came across interior decorator Jonathan Fong’s website with plenty of great decorating ideas–including, how to tie a perfect bow! In five steps, I made a beautiful bow perfect for presents and decorating. Try it for yourself with Jonathan Fong’s simple steps:
1. Tie a piece of ribbon around the package and tie a knot. Cut the ends, leaving a few inches of ribbon on each side.
2. Fold a long piece of ribbon accordion-style, with four loops on each side.
3. Cut into the center of the fold diagonally about 1/3 in on each side.
4. Using the ends of the ribbon on the box, tie the accordion fold onto it, into the diagonal cuts.
5. Fluff up the loops.
