Alarmclock_1While the pop-up reminders that appear on Entourage when you have an upcoming meeting can be helpful, when you are in the middle of another project it is a little too easy to unconsciously hit "snooze" or "dismiss" without truly registering the information.  Enter the TinyAlarm, a free alarm clock for your Mac menu bar. Simply set the time, pick the alarm sound you want, and consider yourself reminded. At least in the version we tested, the one drawback seems to be that although you are being alerted, there is no room to list additional information about what event you are being alerted to….but if it’s simply used as a self imposed timer on blog reading, online shopping, game playing, etc. it’s a pretty effective tool.
