DrycleanerWhether it’s a suit or a silk blouse, we all own clothing that is labeled "Dry Clean Only." Unfortunately, traditional dry cleaning machines use a chemical called Perchlorethlyene ,which can be harmful to the environment and to us. The good news is there are eco-friendly dry cleaners that use alternative solutions to get the stains out. For starters, you can use this guide from GreenEarth Cleaning to find an environmentally friendly dry cleaner in your area. Fine Living has additional eco-cleaning tips including removing your clothes from plastic dry cleaning bags when you get home to let them air out.  Another way to make dry cleaning greener: most dry cleaners will recycle used wire hangers for you—just bring them in when you take in your shirts.
